Colleges and Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System
Interdisciplinary, Collaborative Relationships
The Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics, a department within the College of Medicine, employs an
interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in all practice sites including primary care clinics, nursing
homes, and home health care. To this end, the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics invites faculty from
the Colleges of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Health Related Professions to practice as a member of an interdisciplinary
team. Further, faculty are encouraged to provide learning experiences for students from their respective disciplines.
These faculty members also may enjoy a secondary appointment in the Department of Geriatrics pending approval by the
College of Medicine Promotion and Tenure Committee. These faculty members participate in medical student and
physician education.
College of Medicine, Clinical Departments
Dr. David Lipschitz provides the leadership necessary to form partnerships within the College of Medicine. These
partnerships are maintained by interaction of the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics faculty with faculty
members from each Department. Partnerships include the Departments of Internal Medicine,
Family and Community Medicine, Orthopedics, Neurology, and
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
