
| Sandra K. Pope, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Departments of Geriatrics and Psychiatry, and Director of the Mindfulness Center for Healthy Living, has meditated for over 35 years and has taught the MBSR course and trained MBSR instructors for the past 10 years. Dr. Pope received her MBSR training from Dr. Kabat-Zinn and she has conducted research at the University of AR for Medical Sciences investigating the effectiveness of MBSR in improving health outcomes for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease. She will be teaching one of the upcoming public MBSR courses, as well as teaching an MBSR course to providers at the North Little Rock Veterans Association Hospital. | ![]() |

Mary T. Horne, Associate Director of the Mindfulness Center for Healthy Living, has practiced yoga and meditation for over 10 years. She completed training with Dr. Kabat-Zinn in February 2004 and has taught 9 MBSR courses, led the MBSR intervention for research studies, and directed various MBSR graduate programs. She is currently completing her Masters in Social Work at the University of AR in Little Rock. Mary will be teaching one of the upcoming MBSR courses. |
| Phebe Duff has practiced yoga for 13 years and meditation for 6 years. She completed training with Dr. Kabat-Zinn in 2005 and completed the Mindfulness Center’s Teacher Training Program in 2006. She is currently leading the free weekly meditation program sponsored jointly by the Mindfulness Center for Healthy Living and Barefoot Studio, and is teaching one of the upcoming MBSR courses. | ![]() |
